Acre365 2017 Awards to recognise rapid achievements in H&S
Acre365 is an awards programme, from Acre, which shines a light on individuals making rapid achievements in CR, energy, health and safety, environment and sustainability. Acre365 is unique because it focuses on the impact achieved in the first 12 months of a new role.
This year’s programme is open to individuals who started with their new employer after 1st October 2015.
Health and safety
For the health and safety award Acre365 will look at how the health, safety and wellbeing of employees or customers has been positively impacted by the entrant’s activities.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Implementation of cultural change
- Health and wellbeing initiatives
- Technology/Innovation
- Engagement of supply chain
- Employee engagement
This year’s Safety Judge is HS2’s Emma Head, with other judges including environmentalist, broadcaster and writer, Jonathan Porritt, and Tim Brooks, vice president, corporate responsibility at LEGO Group.
Last year’s health and safety winner
Last year’s winner in the h&s division was Judith Grant from Royal Mail. Judith inherited a wellbeing website with the name Feeling First Class, so used this as a platform from which to develop new programme strands: First Class Support, First Class Fitness, First Class Mental Health and First Class Lifestyle. Each had a communications campaign to raise awareness amongst employees.
How to enter
Whilst Acre365 focuses on the first 12 months in a new role, shorter time frames will also be considered where a significant impact has been achieved. This may be the case for contract and interim professionals who play a crucial role in the sustainable economy.
Entry is now open, all entries must be received by the close of play Friday 31st March 2017.
