Try the Free NEBOSH Process Safety Management Simulator Modules for Health and Safety Professionals

Astutis is proud to announce the launch of two innovative NEBOSH Process Safety Management (PSM) simulators. Following on from the positive feedback our Free Fire Evacuation module received, we have created two more additional scenarios for Process Safety Management. These simulators are designed to enhance practical learning and engagement for professionals in high-hazard process industries and represent a significant step forward in providing interactive, scenario-based training for safety management.

What are the Astutis Process Safety Management Simulators?

These simulators have been released to showcase the interactive modules prevalent throughout our online courses which aid in the process of learning.

The Process Safety Leadership Challenge is the first of these cutting-edge tools. It offers learners a chance to test their leadership and decision-making abilities when it comes to process safety.   By completing this simulator, making informed decisions and prioritising safety, you can ensure a healthy and productive environment for your team and prevent catastrophic accidents. This challenge is designed to affirm the correct leadership traits and skills, including:

  • Listening to employee feedback.
  • Building proposals for senior leadership.
  • Thorough investigation of potential hazards and implementation of control measures.

The second tool, the Process Safety Hazard Control Challenge, puts learners in a realistic hazard control situation, challenging them to make critical decisions that impact safety outcomes. This scenario will place you as a chemical engineer working in a process plant, overseeing the production of a new compound called Xyzine. Key learning outcomes from the simulator include:

  • Critical decision making.
  • Identification of hazards.
  • Emergency shutdown procedures.

Why Are Simulators and Interactive Scenarios Important for Courses?

Completing simulators and scenarios is vital to the process of learning. It allows users to actively engage with a life-like scenario and make critical decisions that will give immediate feedback on the decisions made by the learner.

The challenges presented in these simulations are prevalent in most process plants, so users will gain valuable knowledge they can immediately apply to their sector.

Process Safety Management Training for Businesses

These simulators are developed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, offering learners an immersive experience that enhances their ability to manage safety risks in the workplace. By engaging with these tools, professionals can build confidence and competence in applying NEBOSH Process Safety Management principles.
