Throwback Thursday: Risk Estimation
In June 1990, SHP magazine published an article by Chris Steel on risk estimation. The article stated that techniques for estimating the magnitude of risks are many and varied and can be developed for a particular industry. All techniques involved some degree of subjectivity though, and relied on past events to predict future responses. Chris put forward the Hazard Number Rating as another way of estimating risk.
