Video: engaging employees with health and safety, episode 3

In his third video for SHP Safety Talks, Dr Dominic Cooper explains how engaged employees are much less likely to be involved in an incident, and that the costs of disengaged employees are about six times more for an incident than for an engaged employee.

Great video. It’s the same principles for any top down processes, you need to bring the workforce with you. Giving informal leaders a role in the process can often help as they are influencers in the workforce and may evangelize the other employees and get buy in from them so they believe in the safety message.
