Buckingham Palace hiring health and safety advisor

Queen ElizabethBuckingham Palace is advertising a position for a health and safety advisor within the Royal Household.

The position, advertised on the Royal website, is offering a starting salary of £25,00o per annum and the opportunity to work with the Royal Household on events, public openings of state rooms at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and The Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The role states “Be it an office, kitchen, stable or garden, you’ll help to drive a healthy and safe culture”.

The successful applicant must hold a relevant health and safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or similar), and will have previous experience in an advisory role.

The position offers 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme, as well as benefits including lunch, training and development and a range of recreational facilities.

The advert reads: “Your previous experience in an advisory role, and knowledge of statutory compliance and risk, means you’ll be confident putting forward recommendations for improvement.

“You’re a logical and innovative problem solver too, able to suggest pragmatic solutions and keep calm under pressure.”

It continues: “The results of your work will impact the daily work of everyone across the household”.
