Sharron Davies MBE to host The Professional Clothing Awards 2016

Sharron Davies-1Former Olympic Swimmer, Sharron Davies MBE, has been announced as the host of the Professional Clothing Awards 2016, taking place in June 2016.

Sharron, who won two gold medals at the 1978 Commonwealth Games and a silver medal in the 400-metre individual medley at the 1980 Olympic games, will be hosting the awards with the support of Sophie L Smith, who has worked in the construction industry for the last eight years.

An opulent black tie dinner, dance and award ceremony, the Professional Clothing Awards is a key networking event bringing together designers, buyers, procurement managers, industry figures, key press and media to recognise and celebrate the latest achievements within the professional clothing industry.

Yvette Ashby, managing director of professional clothing director-e, The Professional Clothing Show and Awards, says: “The Professional Clothing Awards 2016 is all about celebrating the talent in our industry.

“This year we take a look at women working in unusual positions such as builder surveyors and construction workers and how they find the clothing provided for them.

Held on 22nd June in the Platinum Suite at ExCeL, London, The Professional Clothing Awards will be running alongside Safety & Health Expo from 21 -23rd June.
