Dee is a Chartered safety and health practitioner and has had a long and varied career in the field of health and safety. Dee is currently standards manager for the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) and has a wealth of experience both as a trainer and delegate in NEBOSH assessments. Dee has also been a director of NEBOSH and had an active role as an examiner, so she has a balanced view of the delegate/provider/examiner cycle. Prior to her current position at NEBOSH, Dee was course developer for RoSPA and the organisation's head of occupational safety.

 | Stephen Asbury, managing director, Corporate Risk Systems Limited
In addition to his role with Corporate Risk Systems Limited, Stephen Asbury MBA FRSA FIEMA CEnv CFIOSH is the current chair of the IOSH Professional Ethics Committee. He is the longest-serving member of the IOSH Council, having been elected in 1998. Stephen was awarded the IOSH President’s Distinguished Service Award in 2010, and is the author of more than 30 books and articles on safety and risk management, including the best-selling ‘HSEQ audits – a risk-based approach’ and ‘Do the right thing – The practical, jargon-free guide to CSR’. A Chartered Member of IOSH, Hazel is a textile chemist with an M Phil in Applied Physics. She joined IOSH as professional affairs manager in 1993 after working at DeMontfort University. She was employed to launch Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and the Safety Awareness training programmes, and to develop an academic accreditation system. As membership executive director, Hazel’s role covers all aspects of the regulation of the profession, including development of academic programmes leading to membership, registration of membership, Initial Professional Development, CPD, Professional Development training programmes and the Regulation of the Profession and Code of Ethics.
Carolyn joined IOSH in March 2007 as membership development manager and became head of membership development in May 2011. A marketing and business development specialist, Carolyn has developed a strategy to increase membership recruitment and retention. Additionally, she has overseen the introduction of a rolling renewal process, online joining process, and an improved service to members using our customer-relationship management platform. |  | Roger Passey, self-employed occupational health & safety consultant With a background in engineering, Roger moved into health and safety in 1988 while working for a company in plastics manufacturing. During his time with the company, he completed his NEBOSH Certificate and Diploma, and took on the role of safety advisor. In 2004, he became a consultant working for himself, and other larger companies as an associate. He is a tutor and technical author with RRC and a NEBOSH examiner. |  | David Sinclair, solicitor, Metis Law
David joined Metis Law as a regulatory solicitor in August this year, having been one of the first solicitors to achieve chartered safety and health practitioner status (CMIOSH). Prior to entering the law, he spent more than 20 years gaining health, safety and environmental-practice experience in the construction and engineering sectors. He trained as a solicitor at an international law firm and, since qualifying, has advised multi-national, national and regional companies, as well as public and third-sector organisations and individual directors and managers. He is also a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Bolton and Salford, where he lectures on health, safety and environmental law. |

 | Neil Budworth, corporate health and safety manager, E.ON
Neil Budworth is the corporate health and safety manager for E.ON in the UK and is a visiting professor in occupational safety and health in the department of design at Loughborough University. A past president of IOSH, Neil has worked as a health and safety advisor in the utility, chemical, engineering and printing sectors. He has received Distinguished Services Awards from both IOSH and RoSPA for his services to occupational safety and health, and was recently involved in the Health at Work task force, which is part of the Government’s Responsibility Deal.

Richard Byrne has a first-class combined honours degree in ergonomics and health and safety management, along with 10 years’ broad health, safety and environmental experience. He is a chartered member of IOSH, a member of IIRSM and an associate member of IEMA, and also holds EurOSHM status. Richard is the author of two health and safety books, IOSH’s Be the best and the IIRSM’s Driving safety. He is currently Group health, safety and environmental manager with ATS Euromaster.

| | Peter Rimmer, freelance communications consultant and former director of communications at the HSE
Peter is a freelance writer, photographer and communications consultant who worked for 16 years as director of communications with the HSE, until the end of 2003. He is an assessor for the Corporate Health Standard in Wales, coordinates the Napo series of animated films, and worked part-time at the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work as campaign manager for Safe Start and Lighten the Load. He chairs the juries for the EU-OSHA photo competition and the International Film Festival of the ISSA/ILO World Congress.
|  | Keith Turney, managing director, Central (Highrise) Ltd
Keith Turney is MD of Central (Highrise) Limited, a Nottingham-based steeplejack company. He is a fellow of RoSPA, sits on the Safety Committee of the Federation of Master Steeplejacks and Lightning Conductor Engineers, and is a recipient of RosPA’s Award for Distinguished Service. He has also been involved in the drafting of BS2830, Industrial Climbing Safety Methods. |
