RoSPA Awards celebrated in style at Safety & Health Expo

Health and safety in property development, the oil and gas industry and commercial services were celebrated in style last night at the RoSPA Awards at London’s ExCeL.

Lord Jordan of Bournville, deputy president of RoSPA, economist, Labour politician and life peer, and Sir Bill Callaghan, chairman of NEBOSH – the sponsor of the event – both highlighted the importance of raising the profile of the new RoSPA focus that accidents don’t have to happen and reinforcing the notion of making accident prevention a conversation between the employer and their workforce, the workforce and their families, the families and other families.

Tom Mullarkey, MBE, CEO of RoSPA, played a short and moving video highlighting the risk of accidents within the home and the need for prevention. He explained how RoSPA’s work is only made possible by generous donations and introduced the silent auction to the room.
