Designed for demanding forestry environments, new multi-system protective headgear has been launched by 3M.

The company says its Headgear G500 forestry combinations provide protection and comfort for wearers who require both hearing and face protection, and have been designed to accommodate multiple accessory combinations for versatility.

The ratchet headband is said to be adjustable up to eight possible positions and with three vertical settings, to achieve a perfect fit, while the headgear can be used with or without protective earmuffs. Accessories include face shields, integrated safety eyewear and a PVC sweatband.

Louisa Perry, of the 3M Safety Solutions Division, added: “3M Headgear G500 offers impact protection with a wide field of view and high end-user comfort.”

The headgear is also said to be approved to EN 1731 F for visor and EN 352-3 for earmuffs.
