Crowcon’s TXgard-IS+ gas detector is fitted with electrochemical sensors, which are said to enable it to detect a wide range of toxic gases and oxygen. Gases it can detect include those commonly found in industrial applications, such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, chlorine, ammonia, nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide and oxygen.

Typical environments where the Txgard IS+ can be used says Crowcon include plastic, rubber, chemical and semiconductor manufacturing plants, water and sewage treatment plants, steel manufacturing facilities, oil and gas drilling and processing facilities, car parks and tunnels.

Described as tough and hard-wearing, with IP65 ingress protection, the gas detector benefits from an intuitive display menu and keypad. It also has configurable display options and configurable fault and inhibit currents.

Sensor signals are temperature-compensated and the device is compatible with virtually any 4-20mA control system, adds Crowcon.
