Fire safety training

03 August 2009

The Fire Protection Association, the UK's national fire-safety organisation, has produced a training information pack (TIP) that it says will give employees an overview of workplace fire safety and evacuation procedures.

Described as ideal for those with responsibility for delivering fire safety training in-house, the TIP contains all the materials required to get the fire safety message across to staff, including the FPA's ‘Fire Safety in Order' DVD, a supporting 44-page booklet with comprehensive trainer notes, and a TIP-branded FlashDrive, containing delegate handouts, quiz sheets, and a delegate certificate template to print as necessary.

The TIP can be complemented by the FPA's new two-day ‘Train the Trainer' course, which, the Association says, will help ensure that staff who deliver in-house training are confident and knowledgeable in basic fire safety and can develop effective training techniques. Purchasers of the TIP are entitled to £100 off the listed course price. Visit www.thefpa.co.uk to find out more.
