Capital Safety has introduced the Protecta Rebel range of self-retracting lifelines (SRL), with cables available in a variety of lengths ranging from 6m to 30m.

The Rebel range replaces the Protecta JRG SRL and, according to Capital Safety, offers major new features, including carrying handles on even the smallest models, two types of housing – lightweight thermoplastic or heavy-duty aluminium – and compliance with CE sharp-edge standards that can be used horizontally with an extension sling.

The company adds that each Rebel SRL model has a fall-indicator karabiner, which allows a competent person to perform the annual inspection by following the user instructions. The models are also said to have 30 per cent fewer moving parts than many competitive SRLs.
