Ergonomic equipment - Allegro Industries

14 April 2010

Allegro Industries says it offers one of the most extensive collections of ergonomic workplace protection available in the form of top-quality wrist supports, kneepads, and ankle and elbow supports, featuring unique designs for specific jobs.

It offers nearly two dozen different designs of kneepad, which, Allegro says, are constructed specifically for harsh or delicate surfaces, high-temperature environments, and places where rugged durability is important. For example, the Gel MaxKnee and Gel FlexKnee with silica insert are said to offer maximum comfort and knee-cap protection for workers kneeling for long periods, while the Economy Non-Marking FlexKnee offers an extra-long ribbed cap to prevent sliding. The Allegro Shin Guard with EVA foam insert is said to offer maximum comfort, fit and protection with any kneepad.

Allegro also provides six different wrist supports, each one designed to help maintain a neutral wrist position while allowing full movement of the hand and fingers. Dual-Flex™ contains eight stays that provide firm support, and is designed to fit both right and left hands. Maxrist® is designed with a restrictive metal spoon stay that fits into the palm to eliminate symptoms of repetitive strain injuries, and it can be worn on the right or left hand.
