Fire alarm – AlarmSense
Kentec has launched a new range of AlarmSense compatible fire alarm control and indicating panels, which the company says have been approved and certified to EN54 parts two and four.
Kentec’s Sigma CP-A control and indicating panels are designed to deliver time and cost savings when compared to standard four-wire conventional systems.
According to the company, installing Sigma CP-A products can result in a 20 – 25 per cent reduction in set-up time. All devices in a given zone can be wired to the same pair of cables.
The AlarmSense range allows Apollo AlarmSense devices, including smoke and heat detectors, call points, base sounders, base sounder/beacons and relay units, to be wired to the same pair of cables, with rapid system configuration for common, zonal or two-stage alarms by setting one of the panel configuration options.
False alarm management is also very efficient, says Kentec, with alarm verification via the general and local alarm facility on AlarmSense sounders and beacons, primarily for houses in multiple occupation, such as student accommodation or nursing homes. All control panels have an integral, mains-powered battery charger and power supply compliant with the requirements of BS EN 54-4.
