A Midlands-based firm is providing a cost-saving and environmentally sound service for industrial companies using PPE equipment.
SamPPE is the creation of businessman Martin Yeomans, who saw a gap in the market for the recycling and re-use of PPE equipment. Now in its third year of trading, the firm is set to expand to a 12-strong team in 2016.
Based in Wolverhampton, the company washes and restores used PPE gloves and says it is responding to increased demand from industrial companies recognising both the cost saving aspect and carbon-footprint reducing benefits of the service.
Founder and managing director of the firm, Martin Yeomans, said: “We’re still a very young but ambitious company, with aspirations to grow further. After starting the business in 2014, we’re expecting a turnover of £800,000 this year.
“SamPPE was born out of my passion for the environment and a desire to create a more sustainable future. In the current landscape, businesses are increasingly looking for ways to make cost savings and many of the larger companies we work with have seen a significant reduction in costs by using our service. Recycling and re-using PPE equipment is also proven to reduce a company’s overall carbon footprint, which is driving further interest.”
SamPPE trades with larger companies, with key customers in the automotive, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
