The Safety and Health Practitioner Logo

The Safety and Health Practitioner has the largest circulation in the occupational safety and health market. Its ABC audited circulation of 33,923 (01-Jan-2008 to 31-Dec-2008) guarantees advertisers that the Safety and Health Practitioner has not only the largest but the also the most qualified readership of any publication. As the official magazine of the Institution Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) every member receives a copy of The Safety and Health Practitioner each month.

No other magazine has the advantage of this unique link with IOSH, whose members are the people who decided which safety and health products are used throughout the industry. In addition to our IOSH readership we have approximately 1500 fully paid subscribers to the magazine. These are specifiers and purchasers throughout industry, commerce, local authorities, public utilities, educational establishments and consultancies as well as government departments and the enforcement agencies.

SHP Readership Survey

Our latest survey was conducted between 24 August and 29 September 2006. We wanted to know how useful the magazine is to our readers, what their roles are, how they specified products and services, and what tools they find most useful in carrying out their jobs as health and safety professionals. An e-mail was sent to approximately 20,000 IOSH members, and 684 individual subscribers asking them to take part. A total of 3,899 people replied (19% of the number emailed) and the attached is a summary of the key findings.
