Demystifying CDM – webinar

A free webinar will take place this afternoon, examining the requirements of the revised Construction Design and Management Regulations which are due to come into force on the 6th April 2015.

Simon Toseland and Paul Bussey will be giving practical, industry insight, on the potential benefits and challenges faced under the new regime and how they envisage that the Regulations will be practically implemented.

Key areas of discussion will include:

  • What is “proportionate and practicable” CDM in 2015? And what does SFARP really mean in practice?
  • Will the PD search, find and distribute relevant PCI?
  • Is it enough to leave the CPP to the capable contractor without checking/ approving/ accepting as adequate. And can an online template meet the requirements?
  • Can the PD be a non design trained “designer” ie. a QS, building surveyor, client, health and safety practitioner, etc?
  • Is the industry guidance for all sizes of project not just small projects?

The free Barbour webinar is taking place at 14.00 on 30 March, and will last one hour.
