UK safety training provider RRC Training has joined forces with ARME Training and Consulting to deliver NEBOSH courses in Turkey.
Based in Istanbul, ARME was established in 1995 to provide training and consultancy in safety, risk and fire management. The company, which, according to RRC, has a high profile in Turkey, has also developed a very successful publishing arm, producing the Turkish equivalent of the UK’s leading health and safety magazine, the Safety and Health Practitioner, and runs a prestigious annual awards event to celebrate success and innovation in the safety industry in Turkey.
The partnership will see RRC and ARME collaborating to deliver NEBOSH training throughout Turkey, providing translated training materials so that students can reference materials in their native tongue, while being taught in English.
RRC’s managing director, Gary Fallaize, explained: “It was evident as soon as we met Serkan Kucuk, ARME’s director, that we were dealing with an organisation with a similar philosophy to ourselves, a keen interest in safety, and a real desire to effectively communicate to learners.”
Serkan Kucuk commented: “With Turkey looking to join the EU, it is important we adopt EU safety standards. Working with RRC on the delivery of internationally recognised NEBOSH qualifications will help ARME ensure Turkey’s health and safety professionals meet this new challenge.”
Translations are currently underway and the first course will be available at the start of 2012.
