FASET, the trade association and training body for the safety-net rigging and fall-arrest industry, has published a new information pack.

Containing the latest information on safety nets, training, and the CSCS safety-net rigger card, the pack focuses on best practice.

FASET says safety nets, which can save lives and reduce injuries on site by absorbing energy from a falling body, are subject to stringent inspection and maintenance routines.
The pack highlights the principal criteria for safety nets, explains what standards apply, and describes the benefits of using a FASET member.

A separate section explains the various training routes available to qualify for the Association’s CSCS safety-net rigger card, which is described as the industry standard.

Tony Seddon, secretary of the Association, said: “This new pack is a valuable addition to the body of knowledge already available, and will provide useful guidance to both existing and prospective users of safety nets.”

The pack will be available on the FASET website at www.faset.org.uk
