Seaward has published two free booklets, which provide guidance on electrical safety testing in the workplace.

The company says the new publications explain how electrical health and safety obligations can be fulfilled in a realistic and cost-effective manner, and without the need for excessive inspection and testing regimes.

The first booklet in the series is titled ‘A Common Sense Approach to Electrical Safety in the Workplace’, and it targets companies that use, or commission portable appliance testing. It highlights the importance of establishing inspection and testing measures that are appropriate to each particular testing environment, and explains the risks involved.

The second publication, ‘The Responsible Business Builder’, is aimed at contractors and provides guidance on legislation and other test matters. It emphasises the importance of a common-sense approach to help clients assess the risks they face in the workplace.
