AIF launches new work-at-height guidance videos

09 January 2012

The Access Industry Forum (AIF) has produced seven new toolbox talks, which offer guidance on a variety of work-at-height topics.

The AIF – the forum for all the principal trade associations and federations involved in work at height – has uploaded all the videos to its website. Each video runs for approximately ten minutes and features a short online questionnaire to assess the viewers understanding.

The addition of the new videos takes the total number available on the website to 16. Other films include:

  • NASC – explaining scaffold handover certificates and scaffold inspectors;
  • PASMA – fall protection for mobile access towers;
  • Ladder Association – using stepladders and step stools;
  • IPAF – the dangers of not using spreader pads with outriggers.

The AIF’s Peter Bennett commented: “These new videos capture industry-specific knowledge and expertise. Each member organisation is the leading expert in its respective field, which makes the content particularly relevant and topical.”

In May, the AIF will again sponsor the AIF Knowledge Base, Information Area and Demonstration Area at the Safety & Health Expo in Birmingham. For more information visit www.safety-health-expo.co.uk/
