The SHP IOSH Awards have become one of the true highlights of the health and safety calendar and the trophy is one of the most coveted throughout the profession.
SHP and IOSH take great pride in promoting the vital community they serve, and what better way to celebrate that community’s achievements than by providing a platform on which to applaud and reward them?
Practitioners and organisations for whom good health and safety is not only paramount but also fundamental to how they do their job, or run their business, can enter a range of categories, which cover industry-specific achievements, and individual and activity-related endeavour. This gives as many organisations and individuals as possible the chance to have their efforts to promote good health and safety practice recognised.
Judges look at the scale of the achievement and how well the initiative has worked, rather than how much money or other resources were spent on it.
A great night out
The names of the lucky winners are not revealed until the envelope is opened on the night of the ceremony, which takes place in October. The black-tie event includes a champagne reception, a sumptuous three-course meal, a well-known TV personality as host for the evening, plus a range of superb after-dinner entertainment.
