Automatic gate safety covered by video

A 3D animation tutorial video aims to highlight the importance of safe and responsible installations of automatic gates, with particular focus on force testing equipment. That is according to Easygates, the electric gate automation, access control and safety supplier who have produced the film.

The company says they hope the video, on KMG force testing equipment, will be a valuable aid and reference point to installers of gate automation. According to Easygates it covers a brief introduction on automated gate safety and force testing, legislation, the importance of undertaking a force test on automated systems and an introduction to the KMG force tester system and functions. The firm adds that the tutorial goes on to show three automated situations including sliding gate, swing gate and garage door and how to correctly use the force testing equipment.

According to Easygates, the KMG LITE tester provides an affordable solution to installers who require maximum performance and versatility from their testing equipment. The company explains that the unit carries no on-board memory or PC connectivity, allowing the user to record the results manually without the need for connection to a PC or laptop. The results can then be later input to a free web report service, which then creates a comprehensive report, adds Easygates.
