ArcoPro Fall Arrest range includes training experts

Unveiled at this year’s Safety and Health Expo, the ArcoPro Fall Arrest range from Arco is described by the company as a total safety solution that is a “comprehensive offering of the latest safety equipment for those working at height”.

The AroPro Fall Arrest range includes body harnesses, connecting devices and fall arrest kits supplied in a rucksack, say the firm, who add that all of the products in the range are fully tested, comply with all relevant European standards and carry the CE mark.  The products are tested during the manufacturing process and again before distribution to the customer, to ensure the products meet the highest specification and perform in the most demanding situations, say Arco.  The company goes on the explain that the range has been designed with specific tasks and types of work in mind, particularly the growth of the wind farm manufacture and maintenance sector and includes a new five-point harness solution for rope access work, specialist wire blocks made of non-corrosive galvanised steel for use in harsher conditions and a heavy duty, maintenance free self-retracting block.

Additionally, Arco say that for the industrial and construction sectors, where workers may wear their harnesses and safety equipment for long periods, the company has incorporated an air mesh back plate to provide greater comfort in warm temperatures.  Elasticated harnesses allow increased freedom of movement and offer a wider size range to suit varied body shapes and sizes, they say, adding that together with one of the lightest retractable blocks on the market, weighing only 600g,  the product range can improve comfort, wearer acceptance and safety.

An ArcoPro Product Selection Guide has also been produced, which the company say aims to help with the selection process, along with a team of working at height experts who are available to carry out site surveys and provide guidance on product selection and training needs.

Adam Willcock, Arco’s Product and Procurement Manager, PPE, said: “Falls from height still account for almost one third of workplace deaths and injuries and we are now able to provide a complete safety solution for our customers.  Following the acquisition of working at height training specialists, Total Access, we can now offer a fully comprehensive range of height safety solutions, including rope access and rooftop safety training, site services such as abseil window cleaning and site inspections and surveys.  Our new ArcoPro Fall Arrest product range offers the latest innovations in working at height safety but it’s just as important to be fully trained in how to use this equipment and how to work safely at height.”
