The Safety and Health Practitioner magazine offers the most comprehensive health and safety coverage in the UK. SHP has all the busy professional needs, with news, in-depth features, in court stories, the latest industry products and hundreds of appointments every month. SHP Online carries most of what's available in SHP, as well as Web-only stories, posted regularly as the news happens.

The magazine is published monthly and is received by all members (around 35,000) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the UK's largest organisation for individual health and safety professionals (IOSH is not responsible for any content on the SHP website). Readers range from board directors to health and safety managers, to trades union safety reps.

Both the magazine and the website focus on the need for information in this constantly changing industry. SHP and SHP Online cover the latest government decisions, legislation, initiatives, research and hundreds of jobs. The magazine contains an average of three pages of health and safety prosecution reports, which, can be used (as examples of worst practice) to underline the importance of good health and safety to employers and to the workforce.

Every issue of SHP carries up to eight in-depth features - compared to an average of three in each of its two closest rivals - ranging from high-level theoretical articles to practical 'how-to' pieces for those newer to the profession. SHP and SHP Online are also key sources of information on the latest safety products and services, as well as health and safety-related conferences, seminars and other events.

With so much to digest in SHP and SHP Online, both the magazine and the website have been designed to be the most user-friendly and attractive sources of industry information. SHP and SHP Online are divided into clearly identifiable sections, each of which has its regular place and 'look', for ease of navigation.
